polymorph series

I suppose all of my paintings represent an exploration of freedom – a freedom to pursue the unspoken, intuitive connections between myself and elements of the land.

The foundation for most inquiry is something well known, and trusted.  For me, the comfortable and solid foundation is the intensity of experience felt while in remote landscape.  Now I depend on that intensity, along with a knowledge of land processes, as a home base from which to delve forth into beautiful, colorful, and sometimes mysterious abstract art.

It is with honor and persistence that I attempt to convey the elemental wonder of this changing earth.
